Competition Rules

1. No member is eligible to play in any Club competition until all their subscriptions to the Club are paid unless paying by authorised credit scheme.
2. On major competition days a member not competing may not play from the 1st tee until 20 minutes after the last competitor has started.
3. A competitor may not claim more than one prize in any Club competition.
4. All competitors should play without delay and at all times consider other members i.e. repair pitch marks, replace divots and repair all marks in bunkers.
5. Members who enter Club competitions and fail to turn up on the day will be excluded from the next two weekends of competitions and required to pay £5 to the Secretary.
6. To compete in any Board Competition off full handicap, 3 cards must be submitted from previous competitions. No returns DO NOT COUNT (This rule excludes knock-out competitions)
7. The winners of the Bamber Cup in 2008 will represent the Club in the Daily Mail Foursomes in the following year.
8. On competition days players must report to the starter 5 minutes before their official starting time.
9. All matches must keep their place on the course, but should they fall a clear hole behind the match in front, they should call the match following through or close the gap immediately.
10. Competitors must start competitions at the time indicated on the starting sheet. Penalty – disqualification.
11. A member entering a competition may only enter on the starting sheet their own name and those of their playing partners
12. The Charity Cup team will be selected in a manner to be decided by the Handicap Committee.
13. COMPETITORS AND PRIZE WINNERS WILL BE EXPECTED TO ATTEND CLUB PRESENTATIONS. NB. If unable to attend, please send an apology and arrange for someone to receive the prize on your behalf.
