The 18 hole Par 70 course is set in parkland with magnificent views of the Ribble Valley, part wooded with tree lined fairways, water hazards and bounded by the River Ribble. The variation in holes makes it a challenging course (see COURSE). The club is also equipped with a small practice area and putting green.

Course Care
Holes in Bunkers
Before leaving a bunker, a player should carefully fill up and smooth over all holes and footprints made by him.
Restore Divots, Repair Ball-Marks and Damage by Spikes
Through the green, a player should ensure that any turf cut or displaced by him is replaced at once and pressed down, and that any damage to the putting green made by the ball is carefully repaired. Damage to the putting green caused by golf shoe spikes should be repaired on completion of the hole.
Damage to Greens - Flagsticks, Bags, etc.
Players should ensure that, when putting down bags, or the flagstick, no damage is done to the putting green, and that neither they nor their caddies damage the hole by standing close to it, in handling the flagstick or in removing the ball from the hole. The flagstick should be properly replaced in the hole before the players leave the putting green. Players should not damage the putting green by leaning on their putters, particularly when removing the ball from the hole.
Golf Carts
Local Notices regulating the movement of golf carts should be strictly observed.
Damage through Practice Swings
- No practice swings on the tees.
- In taking practice swings, players should avoid causing damage to the course.
Course Maintenance
In order to keep the course in good condition members are requested to replace divots and tread them in properly. Footmarks in bunkers should be levelled after play. Members noticing any damage to the course, flags or huts, should report the details to the Professional without delay.
Temporary Local Rules
Members must watch the Club Notice Board regarding Temporary Local Rules.

Denims, Track Suits, Collarless Shirts or Training Shoes ARE NOT ALLOWED.
When shorts are permitted they must be tailored and worn with knee length stockings or white sports socks.
